I'm probbaly one of the older regulars on here so old enough to remember this commercial. This was done for the Launch of the 1965 cars, which was a big deal back in the day. Chevrolet was the sponsor of Bonanza, Bewitched and Man from Uncle. The commercials were really good on Bonanza , often Dinna Shore would be singing as well. On Bewitched all the cars were Chevrolets, Darren's boss always drove a top line model like Corvette or Caprice. These promos were contractual obligations of the Stars as part of Chevrolet's sponsorship. Lorne Green of cousre was a good Canadian who started with the CBC as the National news reader. Bonanza ran for 14 years, 1959-1973 one of the all time great shows and Green's character Ben Cartwright earned him the reputation as one of TV's all time favourite fathers.

I've seen that one a couple times before.  I can't imagine todays stars doing a commercial like that.

 It's because today's "stars" aren't really stars.
