1964 Beaumont/Chevelle front fender emblems

As far as I know there are only flags on the rear of the front fenders and no 283. Heres mine. Brown 64 Chevelle SS, green 64 Beaumont. Paul.

My brother in law is doing up a 1964 SS Chevelle and I was wondering if the 283 signs are in the same place as the Beaumont ? If so could someone give me a location for them? The fenders have no holes , so he is in the dark. A location from the body line down and from the edge of the front fender forward would be much appreciated. He and I have had Beaumonts all our lives, but now he has gone to Chevrolet ( I still haven't forgave him )

Thanks a million

Kevin

try asking on Team Chevelle they should be able to help. I may have a set to take measurements from if you get stuck

A far as i can tell they are not.  The chevelle is toward the rear, the beaumont is toward the front,  but they are on the same or similar horizontal line

I own both a 64 chevlle 283 car and a V8 beaumont,  so i know for sure they are not in the same place

That is pretty much what i have too Paul, i would agree.

The 64 chevelles use the emblem paul pictures for the 327( w flags)

the 283 cars use the same emblem in hte same place, but with no flags jutting out on each side.

Those are for sure 327 emblems.   64 did not get 327 until after march of 1964(or so).  So if your car is late production, chances are good.
