Jay the exhaust system on the 1960 Chevrolet full size car like Impala or Belair with the 235 six cylinder engine is the same. You can order the complete CORRECT exhaust system from exhaust manufold flange to the tail pipe end from any of the more reputable Chevrolet parts dealers and lord knows there are many. To have someone bend it my even cost more and will never be as good as the exact reproduction exhaust. On my 1957 Pontiac with 261 inliner six cylinder i was getting real stupid prices on a custom made exhaust so i ended up ordering a 1957 Chevrolet 235 six cylinder complete exhaust. What a thing of beauty, this reproduction exhaust is correct and perfect in every imaginable way. The complete exhaust is an easy dead on installation. I bought mine from a local (Ontario) dealer ANTIQUE CHEVROLET PARTS in Flamborough, Ontario. They will ship but as you know shipping is going to be expensive. Do you have any local classic Chevy parts dealers that can order the complete kit for you. Go for the alluminized exhaust, it is worth the slight extra cost. Good luck. Cheers. George.

Jay I live in Moose Creek just a few minutes from Casselman, look me up, As Carl said go to Dans in Metcalfe, he does great work. I got my duals put on there last spring, great job. Here's my phone # 613-538-2430. I'm leaving for Florida today, be back March 25th. Brent Morrison.
I actually had quite a few different people talking about his work when I did a search on custom exhaust in ottawa. I am going to look at cost on ordering a repro vs custom. I know the custom will be more but as well as that I'd be doing what I hate doing. Getting someone else to do the work.
I thank all for this info as I know If I want answers .. I can get right away here.
Hope your vacation goes well Brent and we'll have to cross paths this summer. I head up to Alexandria all the time to visit with the inlaws.
I'd love to check out your car.
My goal is to have the car on the road for the summer
I know that when I replaced the exhaust system on my 67 Chevelle six cylinder I talked to a guy at the local Midas shop. He said he had the card on making the system and he could reproduce the factory system right down to the restrictive clearance crunch at the trans crossmember. For $200 I got a complete system that looked & performed like stock, from the manifold flange to the tailpipe. Cheap and authentic!
I notice that the local Midas shop closed down, likely due to the use of long life stainless components and car-specific mufflers with no interchange among vehicles. Customers generally return to the dealer for stuff like that if they ever do require replacement. I know that I never replaced any of my exhaust system on my 2003 Passat in the 277,000 kilometers that I had it. Good thing since the muffler alone is $600! My old Corolla GT-S had a lifetime factory muffler that was replaced at no cost to me except clamps by the Toyota dealer 6 times over the 14 years & 355,000 kilometers I owned the car. It was Midas though for the system on the 1977 Olds 98 I used to own. They had everything right down to the resonator, though it was a long time ago.

Jay you made the wise choice instead of taking a chance with a custom bending job. I have no doubt you will be completely satisfied with that exact fit original type exhaust system. I am more than happy with my reproduction exact spec exhaust system on my 1957 Pontiac. Cheers. George.
