Butternut yellow looks to be the 1970 " Sierra Yellow "
Nice car.. Funny GM used a 12 bolt with a 327 back then and waited till 1970 when the 455 came out to put one in the GTO ??

In the big 67, did you automatically get a 12 bolt when you ordered an optional M40? Could they all have 12 bolts when the build plate was stamped M40? You never see the 12 bolt rear indicated on the plate do you?

At the risk of being ridiculed yet again I'll share my observations---

I have parted a number of TH400 B bodies over the years in the 66-70 range and have never seen an M40 10 bolt combination, so I think you are right, but never say never...

I don't think there is even a specific option code for a 12 bolt.

It says:

"butternut yellow, black vinyl top, white interior. 327 4BBL, turbo 400 trans, 12 bolt rear. Everything original with correct options, unmolested, numbers matchging, documented by GM Canada. Rebuilt engine. Drive anywhere. Extremely rare. Includes original owners manual, shop manual, and keys. Make an offer. Must be sold"

Rat Boy is surprised how well mannered everyone is being on this one. confuse
