Rear backspace

Anyone know what the minimum and maximum amount of rear wheel backspace is needed to fit on the rear before it rubs on fender or inner wheel housing or frame! Nothin modified on my car, stock axle and quarters are unmodified! Cars interior is in pieces gettn ready for paint, so i cant drive it, and the rims I'm looking at will be miles from where I live , so only other option is to get one and leave deposit, and then take it back once checked for clearance ( if seller agrees to it) ! Have an opportunity for a good deal, that's why I ask! Thanks guys

How big of a tire are you planning on? Looks like most guys run 4.5", you might be cutting it close with only 4" of bs and a really wide tire... too bad it's not the other way, you could always use a small spacer. Also are the 1/4s original or new 1/4s some of the new ones might have a wider lip...

I don't know my BS off the top of my head (although many would disagree)... but i run 275/60s on 15x8 and they fit, and i also run e/t street drag tires that are 28x11.5 on 15x7's with 4.25" bs and they 'just' fit... i can check them for you if you like...
