I know they do not make them anymore..

There are some partial quarters out there Made in Canada and they are not too shabby.. I have seen the ones from overseas and they are a bit too flimsy and hard to work with..

These NOS ones are awesome to work with ..

Yes the factory tin would be the best but the reproduction stuff is getting much better. For half the money you could get this:

I can vouch for first gen Firebird/Camaro being good, not great though. Still some tweaking to get the body lines just right.

As for a goat project if one was on a budget and trying to build a car like this:

I wouldn't stress over oem 1/4's and fenders and make the repop's work.

 I am sorry when a car like that is being sold, the only thing I see someone doing on a resto is using the parts and cloneing a good body into a GTO..

This GTO in my books is a parts car.. Be different maybe if it was a Ram Air V secret come to life GTO  but it looks like it spent its last day under water
