That is pretty nice. I have never seen this car before,

We have had this `58 discussion before on whether or not this is a sedan or hardtop. I say that a Strato Chief would only come in a two door sedan so the car pictured is a post.

Ray you are correct Strato Chiefs were built as 4 door sedans, or 2 door Post and one wagon!  The only hardtops were available in the Laurentians and Parisiennes!  The chrome window trim on Strato Chiefs, made it look like a hardtop from a distance, which some buyers liked, as they were cheaper than going to a higher priced model!  Bob.

Very nice! Unusual to see a Post model that has the "post" chromed rather than painted same as the body colour. Gives it the "hardtop" look at a quick glance. Really nice!

Those are unusual wheels, like them or not. They are 1981 to 87 Monte Carlo optional alloy wheels.

I'd leave the 261 in it.

Believe or not....I have a set of those Monte wheels in the shed....tried selling them a few times,,, no takers??

 We used to call them "fake" hardtops back in the 60's.

 I'm thinking the 1957 Ford was one of the first ones.

Came in 2dr & 4dr models & looked good (from a distance) until you rolled the windows down.

Maybe 57 & 58 only?
