Anyone know about setting these things up?? Can a system setup for disc/disc also be used for disc/drum by changing the proportioning valve or.......?

No I believe a disc/drum setup will have different fluid capacity for the disc/disc. The disc set up will need more fluid to make it work properly.

The drum side also needs a residual valve

I'm hoping my setup will work when I'm ready... 

Its a Disc/Disc master going on a Disc/drum B.
