I had my old, cracked and brittle dash pad redone, it cost me $150

i put one on my old one,guy i sold it to took it off.put sd chrome on the back and the plate on between taillights,he took it off.put sd rocker chrome on it he took it off. had some rare stuff on that car.think shawn got it all!Lefty car looks great!

he used the same material as my seats with a very thin foam,
looks good enough that i may not use the screws along the window
that always rust .
it feels softer then the original.

Optional I think Tim. I think you could order it on any model. It's even an option on Sport Deluxe, at least in 65. My 65 SD is steel and if you look in the registry, you'll see a number of cowl tags that have the option code for padded dash on the tag.

If I had a choice to spend my money in 1965 between a padded dash (ie safety  options) or added dash (go fast parts) I know what I would have  picked!
