Up for auction is this beautiful 1965 2 door chevrolet impala with 16,255 original miles on it. This car is completely original, by original I mean from the tires up this car has not been touched or restored (except battery) for 47 years. The interior of this car looks the same as the day it rolled off the line, very clean, it has the appearance that it has never been touched. There is a little surface rust around bottom corner of back window, passenger side has a scratch on rear quarter panal, the paint is chipped on front fender where chrome trim piece goes, which I do have in good shape, just isnt on car, and there is a small ding beside front hood. As I said this car is completely original including the lacquer paint on car. We have a copy of the original title from when my father bought the car from Mr. Wadsworth. We also have the 1965 CHEVROLET OWNER PROTECTION PLAN BOOKLET and the 1965 CHEVROLET OWNERS GUIDE and a 1965 CHEVROLET CUSTOM FEATURE ACCESSORIES BOOKLET. All three are in mint condition. My father bought the car in 1978 and stored it in a garage. He never drove the car. Everything on the car is original except for the battery. We also have the mileage inspection paperwork from the sale showing the mileage at 16098 in 1978. We also added more pics of the vehicle's underside. The car is all original and the mileage is original.
The engine is 283 250 hsp, 2 barrel carb, 3 speed on the tree,12 bolt posi rear end. The paint is the original red lacquer and everything on the motor is original. Please feel free to ask questions.
Seems to be a lot of B body 12 bolt cars, 6 cyl, 283, whatever. I get a kick out of that. Not like it was needed!
As far as the posi goes, I've bought so many 12 bolt cars that "yup, it's a posi" was a great line from the seller but it was BS! I've likely owned more big block cars that had no posi than had a posi.
