Great work Marko! Strato Chief emblems from 1969 are VERY hard to find.

When I was a newlywed living in downtown Toronto in 1986-88 there was a 1969 Strato Chief 2-door along Wellesly Street. It had some minor rust issues at the botttom of the front fenders. Well, the owner decided to perform a do-it-yourself fix. He took some metal, pop rivetted some metal outside the repair area (it was very crude), then brush painted the whole car with exterior latex brown. He painted over the Strato Chief emblems, the 350 emblems. What a moron. How hard is it to make it presentable? Still it would have been salvageable. A little shell blasting and all the stupid latex would have exposed a set of decent Strato Chief emblems. I should mention that around that time I visited Addison on Bay ( Pontiac-Buick-Cadillac dealer downtown in Toronto) for whatever 1969 / 1970 Pontiac emblems I could find. This is back in the late 1980s. I was looking for 2+2, Strato Chief, 400 & 454 emblems. I came up empty handed back then. I do remember back in 1977 a special order at the HMP Pontiac parts department coming in for still available 1967 Laurentian emblems.

O.K., I really had nothing concrete or constructive to add. I just thought you might find it amusing or indicitive of the kind of hunt you may be embarking on. Best of luck! I would love to see your car detailed out one day. I remember these cars new, and I also remember some people scrapping them out at 4 or 5 years old. I live in the rust belt after all.

Yep, I remember going through the books at Eastown Chevrolet in London looking for 69 Pontiac emblems and they were all NLA. I did however manage to order a set of Buick GS "Stage 1" emblems.
