why not sell it state side? Americans have CASH.

The Firebird market in America is in the TANK! (probably WORSE than Canada...)

I bought two 70's T/A's in Ontario early this year & was surprised that they were on the market for as long as they were.

5 years ago,BOTH would have sold to the US market real quick.

MOST Americans are BROKE,struggling to pay their bills & have NO credit.

(ones that have JOBS,anyways..)

The guys that like these cars can't afford them.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe the trans is a Saginaw. There is a rear sway bar, unsure of the size. You can see it in this photo:

I didn't look for a build sheet however I posted photos of the GM docs with all the options at the beginning of this thread.

It certainly IS an INTERESTING Bird & in real NICE condition!

Is the transmission a Saginaw or ST-10?

Is there a rear sway bar? (if so,what size?)

Did you ever look for the build sheet?

Feel your pain Todd.
1) I'm trying to sell the 75 Formula out here in Sask for $3500 and get e-mails saying " I'll give you $2000 cash", or "what's your bottom cash price", or "would you take a quad on trade even up" and then have an add else where asking a grand less, not even a come and look. Free adds is the scourge of classic car sales as so much crap has flooded onto the market.

2) Yeah my oldest is going to university this fall, out of town to boot when the original plan was for the first 2 years to be here before she transferred.

Best of success selling the Esprit.

You know I have always stood by an offer should be in that 10 to 15% from asking, after looking at the car. If it was far worse I would tell the seller and wish him luck and leave my number and the amount I was willing to pay. This B.S. of just blurting out a number that is nearly 1/2 of asking is just an insult.

It's an insult when they haven't even bothered to come see the car. The guy on the phone sounded incredulous that I wouldn't drop the price to his offer!

Sale Pending. She's heading to Newfoundland. Special thanks to Leo for connecting me with the buyer.
It's going to feel really strange having an empty garage!

Congratulations Todd. Can't wait to see it. Leo knows a lot of car guys. He has a beautiful 73 Olds Cutlass himself.
