If you are still running the six volt system the number is 6006!  Should be still able to get a pair thru NAPA etc!  If not I have a NOS pair! Am in Ontario!  Have quite a number of parts that will fit 48 - 52 Pontiacs! Bob.

Thanks Bob, I thought that was the correct bulb after doing some research. The bulbs that are in the car now have those little light covers inside of them, a replacement maybe? I will just get some h6006 bulbs I know Piston Ring here should have them.

The 6006 has an upgrade from Wagner, its a 6volt h6006 still in the glass 7" housing, it has metal position tabs on the back (Instead of the 6006 all glass backing), the 3 prongs on the back are in a gassket so when you plug it in it does not have the remaining prongs stuck out that usually corrode. When you look into the front of the bulb it does not have the metal bracket inside but just the halogen with its painted tip. I just learned about this yesturday by accident because I thought that I bought the wrong bulb as it wasn't looking the same inside as the original and it still says 2D1 on the front glass . Got them here in Winnipeg at Piston Ring for $13.00 each.
