I love seeing the unbutchered cars with original paint. Now whatever happened to the gold 427 4-speed car on the Lake Erie shores near Nanticoke that was for sale in 2007 with deep rust issues? It would make a dandy rebody job (bite my tongue )

I saw the car in person. She was a little rough underneath but still could be saved:
That's what's left of the muffler. Gas tank was rotted and I'm sure the floors would poke through in spots.. Engine shot:
Is the smog pump correct on a Canadian Pontiac???
It is the hope diamond of 69 full size Pontiacs!

Seller also had 2 other low mileage cars, not Pontiacs, on kijiji. I thought Carl was saying he had seen the car which is the subject of this post but he is evidently talking about another car.
I wish! Thats awesome! You would think this one would be worthy of a Barrett/Jackson feature car. Wonder if there would be enough interest with all the high dollar collectors out there?
Ok. I see smell some BS on this one. Original? Why the incorect pinstripe? Why is the front fender so poorly aligned? Where are the original wheels & tires? Chrome shields on the headlights? That's for starters on poorly done photo's! Honestly, IF you had a car with less than 10,000 TRUE miles on it would it look like this?
The fender, hood, bumper alignment always sucked on these cars from the factory. When I talked to the owner of the 427/4 speed 2+2 he said he took it to the dealer a couple of times about hood to nose alignment. They couldn't do much with it. My dad's '69 was terrible, as was my Laurentian.
I may as well chime in. As most know, I have a low mileage 70 2+2 hardtop. 300 hp 350, turbo 350. So basically the same car as the one for sale, just a year newer.
Mine had 21K miles on it when I purchased it in 1999 from the original owner. No rust, never winter driven, originally purchased in Calgary. It still sported the original Uniroyal twin white stripes bias ply tires. It had however been repainted in the early 90's. I freshened up the car, and installed 7" ralley wheels with T/A's. After being driven for a few years, and receiving an award at POCI 2001 in Minnesota, I haven't driven it a whole lot since acquiring my convertible. It still sports appx 38K miles.
By looking at the listing of this 69 2+2, I'd say the price is very high, considering it only includes 1 photo, and limited information. If I were to list my car and wanted a similar price, I would certainly provide more photo's, more of a description, and some history of the car.
for the record ...the stripes are original and correct...
here's the 69 I unfortunatly strippped and crushed about 15 years ago ....I didn't know any better at the time....

Thanks for the pic's. I couldn't see the lower stripe on sellers pic as it's very poorly lit.
My problem with the car for sale is that it's listed as "original from top to bottom". With aftermarket wheels & cat's eye's visible from that one crummy picture I have a very hard time believing it only has 9600 miles. Where are the original tires & wheels? They should have little to no wear.
I know the mags were very popular back in the day, but seriously, if you are advertising as original, with less than 3 months of mileage on a 40+ yr old car for that kind of money????
I spent way too much time chasing cars listed as such and finding a pile of B.S. when I got there NOT to throw out a warning flag when I see this type of stuff.
