Headlight switching and warn lights out

Wonder if anyone has come across similar problems. My headlights on low beam seem normal. But once I switch to the highs the pass side switches to the inside light but the drivers stays on the outside?! I'm thinkin a short somewhere. But when this happened I noticed my warn lights on the dash don't work either. I washed the car a few days ago and cleaned the engine bay. I noticed that one of the relays was buzzing with the key off after I got out of the car. Now I know there is an issue with the relay I bet but other than the voltage regulator, what is the relay with the headlight terminals underneath (that was the one buzzing, or is that the voltage regulator?) There are two relays as far as I can see, anyone know which ones are equipped on a 68 2+2? Is the other a power accessory relay? Anyone have a similar issue? fix? Thanks Guys. Going to dive in tomorrow.

Sounds to me like you just have a burned high beam on the drivers side. On high beam, you should have all 4 bulbs lit on your 68. You may also have a burned upper (high beam) filament on the passenger outer headlamp the way you describe it.

In a nutshell, you should have outers lit on low beam, outers lit on high beam (but the other filament in the seal beam unit would be lit) and inners lit on high beam.

Oh?! So,

Low beam=outers only
High beam=outers and inners all lit up? Thats what I figured originally. I took some bad advise on that before, lol. I thought outers=Low and inner= high. Thanks Carl!

Hope that is easy to sort out. It sounds like it likely will be.

I agree in principle with Carl's diagnosis, I had the same situation a couple years ago.

Got them working. As you said, outs were low, both for high. Had a bad connector and two filaments out. Thanks guys!
