Oh boy, channelling Don Rickles! I saw him in the movie Casino that was on TV a couple weeks ago ... he was rather subdued, but then again, he was acting next to Joe Pesci!
Back to the car ...
I love the dash. You can construct a party-sized submarine sandwich on it! The steering wheel is cool too!

I would say that it is awkward looking design-wise, or "unique", ya "unique", but not ugly.

Shame on you Ray. The word is B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. Ray repeat after me........ The word is B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. Ray you are just not a 50's kind of car guy. I think the 1959 Buick is even more beautiful than the 1960. As much as i love the 1960 Buick. Cheers. George.

Stephenzone has a point. Once fins went out of style (about 1962) those cars with fins looked very dated. People either dumped them, scrapped them or parked them. I love finned cars as they are the epitome of late 1950's excesses.
I am in love and that really is one of the most beautiful looking engines ever made. NAIL HEADS FOREVER. They are beautiful in stock looking shape as well. For the younger folks on this site the name NAIL HEAD is a term to describe the small sized valves in these engines that first came on the scene in 1953. The small valves did not stop these great engines from making some great power and torque. A good buddy of mine had a 1953 Buick Riveira hardtop that had the first BUICK V-8. For all around nostalgia and good power it is hard to beat these wonderful Buick V-8's. Cheers. George.

Another beautiful GM automobile. These Buick designers really had some flair. If you look at some of the other 1961 cars from the competition, their cars were boring compaired to some of the GM cars like this Buick in 1961. Just simply beautiful. Cheers. George.
