While we are at it, chop it up a bit, add some rear lights, trunk scoop, trim, etc. and make it into an Impala. biggrin

What is neat about the 58s is that they look good stock or mild to wild customized.....

Ya, but those pictures are of Impalas and not Delrays. A big difference.

Delrays are the bottom line/barebones cars. Biscaynes are next in line, and then what you pictured ... Impalas

1958.......THEY ARE ALL B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. Chevrolet did really well that year selling cars when everyone else had a downturn in a recession year. I think only Rambler and Volkswagen did well that year as well but Chevrolet sold more cars than anyone and there is a very good reason for that. That was one sweet heart of a car. Cheers. George.

I fell in love with those cars in Peggy Sue Got Married and American Graffiti. Love to own one with a 348 tri power

NOPE, like the stock body, that's why I never cut the 52,although lots of people want me to "chop" the top!!!  Just update the D/line & brakes & "hav at it" down the road!!!!  No worry of not being able to find a part if you have problems!!!

Dad had a '58 4-dr with a residing 348... I want to do one in his name, more of a sheep in wolfs clothing tone though! But a 2-dr post would be a beaut to get!

That being said, I am not fussy on the dash... Should have been more stylish like the exterior.... But, just my opinion.....

I've always loved the one year styling of the 58 Chevs & Pontiacs - especially the top line models. Great roofline.

NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!!!!!!  Sweet sweet machines. 1958 was a great year for GM cars all around in my opinion. Unless a person hates chrome 1958 was a banner year. I LIVE FOR CHROME..........the more the better, lay it on. Cheers. George.
