ok folks the good news is the car is getting really close to being roadworthy.I got the new e brake cables that i ordered off ebay and found one slight problem. The springs on the end that connects into the brake lever were about 2 1/2 inches longer than my stockers. But with a quick measure and clip that problem is fixed. Now on the framerails there is a bracket with a bolt that the cable passes through and mine on the passenger side is broken.I know i can just rig up a clamp for now but wondered if anyone knew if they were availible anywhere.Just heading out to the garage to put the d.s back together and the brakes will be finished all around.New shocks are on the way, carpet is ordered hoping it will show this week, one small patch to weld in floor,a couple wires to connect up under dash, install the hoos and springs and then off to the muffler shop for a muffler and tailpipe, inspection and shes road legal.
Congrats on getting closer, check out www.chevsofthe40s.com Select your car from the main page (54's are at the bottom of the page) select brake components section and then just after half way down the page they have the brakeline brackets. im sure you can find them at a local place closer to you.

the one i am looking for is actually riveted to the frame with 2 big round head rivets.I doubt anyone makes one i will probably have to find one on a junker frame somewhere.Pretty sure a 54 chev would be the same as well.Anyone got a frame their scrapping!
