Good stuff Todd!

I wish I could find the time to do the same. We did a big sale 3 years ago, but since then I've been planning on having an "antiques & collectibles only" yard sale and it hasn't happened. cry

You wouldn't happen to be selling a 4" drill press vice, would you? How about a 2 ton chain hoist with trolley? smile

Nope. Many of my "essential" tools are coming with me - compressor, mig welder etc.

A 4" drill press vice, and a 2 ton chain hoist with trolley are really not essential Todd. Just bring them to the Island with you and I'll buy them cheap. wink

I'd give it an 8 or 9. It's in really good condition: There's some water drops on it in this photo as I tried to clean it up. It was pretty dusty!

Todd, sorry I understood from the other post that it was the same as the ones Bill just sold Landshark-it would have had the ornament--this one would be off my old 69 Pontiac --he was telling me they were N.O.S. when he sold me the car

I mentioned in the other thread they came off the Laurentian. I didn't realize they were different. Sorry for the confusion.

We had a good turnout. I tell you I love hoarders! Two people left our place with large cardboard boxes full of "stuff"- nick nacks, books, dishes etc. You could tell they were die hard garage sale junkies!
I even had a fellow leave me his phone number telling me to contact him when I'm ready to sell the house! He loved the garage (he does custom paint) and will need a granny flat to look after his parents. Lot's of inquiries on the Firebird too. We only had a couple of flunkies. I had two higher quality RC cars priced at $5 for the pair. This guy decided against them because one original carrying case was missing it's cardboard insert. 5 BUCKS and he decided to pass. They eventually sold. It was nice to see MorePower, his wife and son as well.
We're doing it all again tomorrow.

good luck with the sale. When we had our moveing sale it was pretty much everything we owned so we had the sale in the house as well as outside and we sold pretty much all of it and the rest (one minivan full) went to charity. I had a guy fill the back of his pickup with our stuff. The weirdest part is when we came back in dec. for a visit and my brothers wedding, we went to a friends house and I dident notice until they said, does this look familliar?, and all the artwork and the furniture in the living room was ours! LOL!! I LOVE garage sales, im pretty sure i would have bought alot at yours!

We had some interesting characters as well. Lot's of people became "car experts" after seeing the Firebird. One kid asked me "Is it a real Thunderbird?"..

One lady sure missed her 86 Grand Prix after seeing my Firebird confuse..She said she had to either "sell it or go on prozac", whatever that meant..

Another older fellow went on and on about his brother in laws "67 Cuda" that won all the awards at Carlisle this year. He had it since new and "wrote it off three times", the last time he was "lucky" as he hit a tree which prevented him from going into the lake. "He would have surely drowned!" he said. This time it's getting a motor with a "4 barrel carb for EACH CYLINDER".. confusehmm

I just nodded politely..
