Hi all.

I recently purchased a 1961 Strato Chief 4 door with a 261 backed up with a Powerglide. In decent shape mechanically, needs work cosmetically. The pictures show it. The previous owner painted over the original Fawn Beige paint with....wait for it....flat black house paint, applied with a roller and brush. 

I love the rarity of these cars, especially in this end of the province. Most of them have long since been to the scrapper, likely due to all the salt on the roads.

I'm hoping I can eventually get it back to factory original, which this site, I have a feeling, will help me out with greatly.

awesome car! I had a 59 and I painted it with flat black spraypaint and 9 out of 10 people dident believe me. I couldent afford a $6000 paint job! Where in ontario are you?

I actually would have prefered if they had used spraypaint. By using a roller and brush, it has ALOT of bristle marks, runs and lumps that don't show too well in the photos, but are glaringly obvious in person. 

I'm in Windsor.

do you have a family member named Steve Jamienson (about 34-38 years old)who went to fanshawe college years ago for graphic design and was from windsor? Last I knew he was doing some dj music stuff or something like that.
