Very nice Stan. I hear those things are manufactured out of un-obtanium.

Looks good there. Did you get the plastic rechromed? I have a set that are cracked and need a resto too. I just don't have a 66 to use them on.

Started with the best pair out of five sets. The lense side is original chrome and the back sides have been plastic repaired  and spray can chromed. The wiring and socket were the most challenging to replicate. All worth it though.

How are your brackets for fastening them? Looks like they are very susceptible to rust from what I have seen.

My fastening brackets are still solid but were rusty so now they look slightly pitted. Would love to find some better ones.

Those look amazing, great work. A relief to see the part line dividing the lens, I thought mine had a crack...just getting all the lights working in my '66, scared to touch my reverse lights for fear of breaking something, my wife just pointed out that they are out....hopefully it is just the bulbs.....any do's and don'ts with these?

Wow! Very nice indeed. Let us know if you'd like to go in the business of restoring these!

lenses are starting to look decent Stan.

the top middle one is the original.. I've cast about 6 or them.. and I now have 3 that turned out pretty nice..  a couple small bubbles on the back side where the gasket would mate.. so you'd never see them.

Kelly, have you been working on front signal lights for the 65 Beaumonts? The 66 BL looks great!

I was working on the 65 lenses.. but I think they are already reproduced.  I have a photo of the new ones used on my car.. but I'm not sure how to get the photos off of the mac.. I'll try to do it with the PC later.

I need to put the mold into the pressure pot next time.. there are some small bubbles in them now.. not noticable unless your a foot away.. but.. not perfect.

Great work Kelly, I've come to realize the 66 front signal lenses are hard to come by as well. Any chance for them?

I'm thinking the answer is "no". Reason being, a couple of years ago I was on the Corvette forum and was in contact with a fella who was nice enough to do measurements of both the hole and the peice (and they did not pan out.)
I do look forward to hearing of something that will work.

Actually these might be closer in diameter Kelly ('64 Parisienne). They just don't have the "angle", they are "flat", but better than nothing ... fits a roughly 2 5/8" hole:

Stan had 9 sets to choose from   I would think he would restore a set for you    His 66 is sold and almost ready to go   His 69 BBSD 396 conv w/a/c just went in body shop

Those lights look awesome, I have a question, how do the sockets come out of the housing. It almost seems to me that they are threaded into a sleeve on the inside but I am not sure. I for sure don't want to snap a housing trying to get one out.20150329_165908.jpg20150329_165915.jpg20150329_165923.jpg
