1966 factory bucket seats

hi guys i was wondering if any body would know how much a set of factory buckets would be worth ? im planning on putting a set in the wagon but im not sure what they are worth. there was a set at a local swap meet but they were shot, the covers and the foam were done and the guy was still asking $500 for them. i've been pricing out what it would cost to relace the foams and skin's and it's around $500 just for that and that's not including the labour to put them on. so i'm not planning on spending over $1000 for seats. the hunt for parts is on !!!

I run across them occasionally at swap meets. Usually in need oftotal repair - ie new foams and skins. $500 is high usually in the 2 1/2 to 3 range.

i'm just not sure what a set like that is really worth, i'm not looking to get em for free but i just want an accurate resonable price. some people think that the parts they have are worth gold and realistically they are not.

You will be lucky to find a set of original buckets for less that $300.00 and then the cost of reupholstering on top of that.

Of all the parts cars I've run across they usually seem to have been the first thing that gets robbed out of them so they that aren't easy to find. Snag what you can get and don't forget brackets, for sure.
