Welcome. Always neat to see another one of our Beaumonts being exposed to the U.S. You are going to have many interesting conversations happening with that car.

Ok where do I locate the cowl tag on the vehicle. Sorry I'm totally new to this hobby and don't know much about the car as of yet...

Welcome to the site, nice to have another 69 beaumont owner on here.  Look for the cowl tag on the top drivers side of the cowl. Just by your Vin 73637 makes your car a V8 custom hardtop and there were 4177 of those made. Your cowl tag will have more codes like date of assy, body paint codes, interier codes and some option codes. Would be nice to see pics if you can post.

Welcome Jamal from Canada's east coast. I've been to Detroit ... used to trip to Michigan quite a bit to watch the Wolverines in Ann Arbour.

Very nice, but you need to lose the bowtie sticker on back window as it's not a Chevy but a Pontiac.

Yeah I've been told to lose the Bowtie plenty of times, I've had it only a week now and haven't invested anything into it yet and tho it's in my plans to remove it I can't that's gonna be the 1st thing I do. Funny thing is, is at some point once it made it to the states it was registered as a Chevy because that's what my title says. So I'm on a mission to find out what that's all about.

Can some1 tell me how I can go about taking that Bowtie off? Is it a DIY method or do I have to take it to the glass place?

Nice car!

If it's just a sticker, a razor blade should do the trick, followed up by some varosol on a rag to wipe off the glue residue.

You also have genuine GM vintage floor mats.

Welcome aboard from Regina Saskatchewan.

The exterior colour is the same as my 69 GTO. Also the dash is the same as a 69 GTO/Lemans.

To remove the bowtie (sticker I presume), do it in the warm sun as the decal is more pliable and the glue lets loose easier. And then it's a matter of cleaning the glue residue of the glass. I dip a rag in lacquer thinner and work it around. I'm sure that varsol will work as well.

Also if the decal is painfully difficult to remove 3M makes a decal and adhesive remover in an aerosol can which I've used to remove those body length decals that were all the rage a few years back.

Regards,

Thanks for the welcome, I pretty much over estimated how hard it would be to remove the sticker. I went out this morning, got under it a little with my nail and it peeled right on up so once the sun goes down I'm gonna go back out and wipe along the border where the sticker was with a alcohol towel and I'm think that will set me straight. Thanks for the help, and please every1 keep the advice and info coming...
