Got a set of four poverty caps and started shining them up with Nevrdull and Peek and while they show rust on the back, there's none on the facing sides.  A little dinged up, sure, but they are responding well to polish; better than bumper parts, for sure.  They don't appear to have classic chrome pitting, either.  No sharp edges, peel spots etc.
