Here is a "Tip" on doing rear speakers on the classic

 This client wanted to keep it this way because the exterior/interior are Black and Silver, he wanted a 2 tone feature on the rear deck. I did the same thing in a '56 Belair and the grills did get painted a pearl green/gold to match his interior/exterior. The Clients are always right smile

I know how myself and many other people want better stereos in their cars but don't want to change the look of the interior in anyway. Here is an example of a '55 Chev Belair's stereo with the head unit mounted in the glove box. The rear speakers were mounted on a new custom rear parcel panel that molds in the unsightly height of the after market grilles. It gives a sleeker and more attractive appearance.
