Hello goys Iwas at the canadian tire for our regular chit chat in hanmer saturday nite about 15 of us brought our cars .This guy comes up to me and ask if i had a 261 in my 56 Isaid yes .He said Ihave a 1958 pontiac with same motor and automatic trans.wondered if Iwas intersted Isaid sure so Iwent today and saw the car and the motor runs very well. but the body is finished . Iended up trading a 350 chev motor for the car.Ithink Ill take the engine out and save it for my 56.,this other car has lots of chrome parts and cracked windshield what puzzles me is the car has matching #s but has v8 crests on it .this car was adaily driver in the 80s.Its very funny how things happen.this guy lives 10 min from me .thought Ishare this .GERRY
Hey Gerry, you should be able to part out the rest of that '58 for some $. good score! Are you going to rebuild the 261?
