57 door panel

Hi

I'm looking for new door panels for my 57 Laurentian. Which model of Chevy does have the same doors as a canadian 57? Can I find cardboards and edges for the panels elsewhere than on eckler's?confuse

Thanks

Pierre

Physically the door panels are the same size per model application. The pattern and material will be different.

Upholstry wholesalers carry a variety of of backer board that would work well as door panel "cardboard"

The shape seems to be different for a 210, a 150 or a Belair. I live in Belgium and have to order by the web; even the metal edges seems to be different. The "ready to install "door panels like on Eckler's or SMS autofabrics are very expensive for the work it seems to be. If I find the cardboard, I can buy the vinyls and copy the model. But I'm over the sea and I have no right to make mistakes when ordering.

The door panel shape is dependant on the body style not the trim level.

So you would have the following options:
4 door sedan/wagon - available in 150, 210, Bel Air
2 door sedan/wagon - available in 150, 210
4 door hardtop- available in 150, 210, Bel Air
2 door hardtop- available in 150, 210, Bel Air
Convertible and Nomad wagon which I believe are the same as a 2 door hardtop - Bel Air

From what I can tell you have a 4 door sedan, correct? If I recall correctly and I will stand corrected the Canadian models were Pathfinder, Pathfinder Deluxe and Laurentian.

I have a 1957 Pontiac Laurentian convertible that I recently restored. The door skins that I used were for a 1957 Chevrolet and I bought them from Ole '55 East Coast Chevy out of Doylestown, Pennsylvania in the USA (phone number 215-348-5568). Their web site is http://www.eastcoastchevy.com/.

You can buy them with or without the upper flange. I bought mine without the upper flange and they worked fine. The left door skin part number is 11-140 and the right door skin part number is 11-141. They are $199 US each plus shipping and HST when they cross Canadian customs. They also sell the entire door assembly.

Hope this helps.

Bill
