Replacement headliners - who's bought em and from where?

My '56 Laurentian's headliner is dust - it crumbled due to the elements - so its gotta get replaced.

So I've talked to local seamsters, seamstresses, upholstery guys, etc. I can get a headliner made locally but if the quality of internet-bought upholstery is comparable or better than local I may as well shop online. I wish I could just use the original as a template but it's reduced to a pile of threads, so at this point the local guys would be trial and erroring it to fit and a few sounded uncomfortable without a template...

I've checked out many sites that have 56 chevy headliners but its all just a shot in the dark for quality and service and I'm not a fan of throwing money at random internet companies, so who here has bought a headliner online or got one made locally and where from? And what was your experience?

NOS Reproductions was the first place I checked out, but nothing was listed on their site. They'll be my go-to guys if they can make it happen

BTW, NOS Reproductions guys, thats some great carpet I got from you guys. Good stuff!

Aside from them, I'm in the dark. I've got an upholstery guy who says he'll give it a shot, but I'd prefer something cut from a pattern

b52 on this site addv. interiors, NOS I find you have to call as their site doesn't cover all that they have [???] i was going to suggest National Chevy Parts in the USA [thats where I got my complete interior kit incl. H/liner pre made] but by your Avitar your looking for 1956 & national only go from 49 to 54!! Your out west so really can't recomend a local shop. Pete

I would go to Hampton Coach (or Lebarron Bonney Co.) in Massatuccets USA.  These guys are the best in the business, using all original or as close to original fabrics as possible.  I bought a complete kit for one of my cars which included the door panels, windlace, and headliner.  They even give you the instructions on how to put it in.  I know lots of others who speak as highly as I do about this company.  They will not be the cheapest but they will be the best product.

When ordering , MAKE SURE YOU COUNT all the Bows, I miscounted found the centre one was not as long as the others, so it was made I think for 7 bows where as mine has 8, My bad, I cant remenber where I got mine, but the price was around 150.00, so at some point I will order another one if I ever get the thing finished
