parts interchange between Cdn Pontiac and US ones

Hello,

I would like to know where could I find some referrence material stating what parts are interchangeable between CDN and US Pontiac. Things like battery trays, fenders, hoods....

And what model does interchange, Catalina, Parisienne ...

Dan

If you search the archives you will find a number of threads about this topic but no definitive information. It seems that it is best to assume no interchange on body panels although many members do know of specific instances that will work. If you need something why not ask one of our supporting members who operate business, NOS or Tin Man can usually help. Why not get the right Canadian Poncho parts.

I can check with my Nebraska friend who has the 62 Catalina Super Duty. He may have one.

great, thank you. I am restoringa 62 Catalina and I am looking for a rad shroud( same as on AC car) an inner fender on dvr side. Also, do you think that Chevy rims fit on US Pontiac.

when it comes to weather strip & interior parts I can most likely help in most applications. But body parts I will leave up to the experts on here

As Carl said, the US is a 5 Stud X 5" pattern !!!  Some Chev truck wheels have the 5X5 pattern & I think some older wagons??? but most Chevy are 5X 4 3/4   Pete

I have a 62 Grand Prix and a 62 Parisienne, both 2 dr HT's and can confirm that the inner fenders will not fit. The doors and trunk lid will fit but not much else body-wise and the rear bumpers are different (thanks Bill MacGregor) The rad shrouds are fairly hard to come by and the sellers are getting over $200 for them on eBay. The Canadian culvert style (Chevy) shroud won't work on the US Models either.
