Hillar's lost car was like this with a 455, green interior and sandlewood body. Pretty hard to imagine that the guy who was storing it has never come forward to let the estate know he has it.......is that theft? When Hillar left two cars with me he not only gave me the keys but also the insurance and ownerships, original ownerships so I assume he did the same with that car.

The storage guy can't be clueless ... he hasn't received storage payment in almost 2 years. He is just waiting until the dust settles a bit more to make the car his own. Another thought; I wonder if he legally can assume the ownership of the car if storage fees haven't been paid for a certain time period?
Ray, what shape is Hillar's LeMans in?
In ontario and im sure each province has something very similar,
the repair and storage liens acts R.S.O. 1990, CHAPTER R.25 (availabale for reading on line if your having trouble sleeping)
outlines exactly how to do it, no payment of storage fees, the storer can take ownership to sell it or keep it..happens daily, very common with older cars towed after accidents ect.. the tow bills are higher then the cars worth and people just walk away. tow compay gets them sells/parts them out

This car was for sale last year, these are the same pictures used in the old ad. ( Pre-vandalization I assume) I might have to go look at this one.
Yep, there is no damage as described in the pictures.

Ray, they could be SOLD by now!! I called a KIJIJI add up near Kincardin & the seller was selling car as storage had not been paid in yrs. He said owner came back & paid him a couple of hundred on a $3000 bill back in 02 & hasn't seen him since & storage has been "racking up" since, but he doesn't have ownership & said this was "hindering the sale" That won't be the case for Hillar's car, if he left the ownership with the guy????

It was being restored, frame up all NOS or new repop parts from Year One, Ames. PY. All the parts were there. I never saw it and he never said where it was other than out by the airport.
Seems like a too sad story but it happens over and over. I have heard that if the bill isn't paid after 3-6 months depending on location, the contents no matter what it is must be auctioned off and the company can NOT assume ownership. But under "Garage Keepers Act" if a bill is not paid, the company does assume ownership and/or has the right of sale to cover the outstanding value.
They are claiming damage to the ignition, they might have buggered it up by not having the keys

All it would take is a crafty person to copy his signature, if the car is in his name he would have had to sign it. Then make up a false bill of sale again copy the signature and voila car is his and nobody was none the wiser......yes it's forgery but I am sure it happens more than most want to admit!

Did his green Z28 rag top or Cutlass ever show up? I have a photo of Camaro never seen the Cutlass
A member on here spotted the Camaro driving around a year ago. The car was unmistakeable with a vanity plate "STILLZ1" so it was being driven with his plates. I did post photos of the Cutlass on here, I provided it's location to the estate and know not of its whereabouts.
Have you told his father ? He called me last week inquring about it. If you know where it is I am sure he would appreciate it. I even had the lawyer call me, shall I give them your number?
No,I've never talked to his father.I have NO idea where, just near the Airport at a repair garage. That he scored FREE storage for Ions.I don't know of anybody thats been there.
Pretty much same thing he told me, although I have seen the photo you had I believe.
Is this supposed to be the car currently for sale in this Kijiji add? Is the car in this picture a convertible? Must be a strong soft top to hold the weight of a hood?
That's it! Don 't you have all the NOS stuff for it? Note the front fender emblem.
I don't have anything for that car, I have no room for car parts, I don't even have a garage. What does fender emblem say, I'm old and my eyesight is failing me.
