Well,it seems that finding information on Oshawa built chevys is TOUGHER than Oshawa built Pontiacs & when I compare this Nomad to my US built 59 Chevy, there is LOTS different.....
Figured SOMEBODY here might know......
Here it is........ROUGH but 98% complete & incredibly UNMOLESTED.......original carb,generator,coil,air cleaner,rear shocks.......rad hoses have GM p/n's on them,AC rad cap(might be replacement?)
All of the shiny dash parts & switches are in a box.....
Missing original Wheels, hubcaps, steering wheel & front seat....
The engine turns by hand & SHOULD run........pulled the plugs & found AC R45s green stripes..........green stuff on the plug is likley anti-freeze,hopefully it's just a head gasket & NOT a cracked head or block.
The engine # stamped on the front pass. side of block matches the one on doorjamb S/N tag...what year did they STOP doing that?
Apparently it sat in a barn for the last 25 years or so.........there are NO chinese replacement parts on this car!

wow this is a nice project you have, did you check Impala's Bob? on the HAMB there's a very talented guy building a 59 SW, maybe he can help you out sourcing parts, here's the build thread: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=458755
