This month I'm happy to feature a 68 Beaumont owned by one of our most enthusiastic members, Kevin Busch (lueger68). Kevin's enthusiasm is understandably unbridled when it comes to his super clean 68 Beaumont. Kevin is not afraid of putting lots of miles on his car during the Summer months and is a regular at all the local shows. He's also not afraid to take it down the 1/4 mile. Kevin gives us the details:
I bought my Beaumont when I was 16 (now 32) it was owned by a guy in my neighborhood who used to always cruise it by.
I had the love for muscle cars at a young age as my Grandfather ran a speed shop and was a drag racer/customizer legend around my area.
I saved all my money and bought it and started to tear it apart and add speed parts as any young kid would do. Since owning this car I have had it torn apart several times from changing all the running gear to doing alot of rust repair in the wheel wells and other usual spots.
The best part of doing all this is I have done it with my own 2 hands. I run a 377 stroker for the mill (400 block with 350 crank and rods) Isky solid lift cam for those 7000 + revs, all the other goodies inside as well. It has a TH350 , shift kit and a 3500 stall. 12 bolt out back with 4:56 gears ( 3:91's going in soon)
This car has been alot fun over the last 16 years from driivng it as a teenager down the 1/4 mile (12.87ET best) to now taking my 4 yr old twins out in it! Wow , I would have never thought of that back then!!
Since becoming a member here on Poncho I have meet so many great people and have become good friends with some as well!!
Thanks Todd for the chance to share my story and to have my car featured on hands down the best site out there!! The Canadian Poncho Family!!

Thank you very much guys!!! Todd thank you for featuring my car! It has been a desire of mine since I found your site way back! This is the best site I have ever had the privilege of becoming a member of and I speak from my heart with that!!! I have made a lot of friends because of this site and feel that if I was closer to a lot of you I would have a lot more great friends!!!!
Great story , many guys wish they would have kept there first car or early purchases . It is a love affair, frustrating but rewarding and fun. I applaud you for taking it to the track and beating on it.
Great car that you obviously have a lot of passion for! As Neil Young sang "Long May You Run".
