Here's a good one. When I had looked at the car, the Protect-O-Plate was in it, but when I bought the car it was nowhere to be found. The owner had died, and I purchased the car from his widow. She said she'd keep an eye out for it, but really didn't know where it could be.
I got an e-mail from her this week, she'd located it. Sounds like it was in the garage, but under a box. The box was moved recently, and there it was. That's pretty good, for someone a year and a half later to find something and let the buyer know. I stopped by her place last night and picked it up, it's in excellent shape.
As I'd seen it previously, I knew the car had come from McKay Pontiac in Calgary, and I'd even written down the purchase date. Now I've got the document.
For those following my adventures, you've seen I purchased a 69 2+2 from Johnny Ringo for the chassis to go under this 70. Another thread shows that purchase, the dismantling of the body and chassis, and getting the dirt & clay out of the frame rails.
Well, I've had a productive couple months. After debating whether to sandblast the chassis, that was done on Easter Monday, followed by some pretty healthy coats of Krylon primer and satin black paint. A lot of parts were done over the winter, so now basically it's assembly time.
This past weekend we put the front springs in, and assembled the front steering and suspension with all new components. Tonight I popped on the rotors and calipers, mainly for photo purposes. The differential is all painted, but likely won't get a chance to put it in for a few weeks.
Many thanks to the members who have provided their advice and guidance. While the car had disc brakes, one rotor was shot so I've gone the route of Corvette rotors on drum brake hubs.

Yes, I've already drilled the holes in the lower control arms, and you can see the rear bar hanging in on the wall in one of the photo's. I've got the spacers made, they're at home. I used the larger front sway bar as well, it came out of a 70 Laurentian years ago.
I got the differential in the chassis today, and it's now a roller complete with rear sway bar. Will install the lines etc soon, and then make preparations to move the body onto the new chassis.

Since the photo's of the chassis were taken, some minor repairs were done, and the brake and fuel lines run. It's now moved into another spot so I can take the Parisienne body off the rusty chassis.
I started the work a few days ago, by removing the front valance and front bumper, the rear valance and rear bumper. Tonight I pulled off the rocker panel moldings, and I wished I still had the really nice ones I sold to a fellow on Vancouver Island a few years ago. The intention is to pull off the front clip as an assembly, remove the doors and front seat, drop the fuel tank and remove the trunk lid. Then just lift the body off the chassis a bit. The whole setup is jacked up quite high now, and once I split the body and chassis, the body will go up a bit, and the chassis will drop and roll it out. - That's the theory anyway.
Up, Up and Away - Just needs to go up a few more inches then roll the chassis out. You can see the bad section of frame along the passenger side behind the front tire.

I meant to take photo's of us rolling the chassis out, then with the body hanging is mid-air, then rolling the new chassis in, but forgot to. Here's the body sitting on the new chassis:
