Need trim clips

I went to the parts book for a number and found there is 2 numbers for the clips that hold those mouldings on. I don't know the difference but there is a 7584268 and a 4403445.

I'll start scouring...

Not sure if I should post this here but it seems more specific to what I'm looking for.  Anyone have an idea where to get these plastic trim clips for the skinny trim on most 66 Pontiacs.

Most don't survive removal or the last 45 years of Canadian weather for that matter.

You know, I will need some and I think Grant's white car does too.

Give me a poke to remind me on Monday. I'll do some searching. Between us we could likely buy 50.

You could try Restoration Specialties and Supply Inc. Their website is restorationspecialties.com . I inquired a while back for trim molding clips for my '68 and they said they had them. Might be worth a try.

These would likely be closer to 1/2" I'm guessing. Ken has that one to measure so we'll be able to find out.

They are 3/8's of an inch.  The reason there might be two numbers is that for some pieces in places where you can get at them from the back there are screws instead.

I knew the end ones have bolt/screws so I didn't include that number but is there more? I should have mentioned, I found 3 numbers total for clips for those mouldings.

According to my count of all the oval shaped holes along the body line I'd need 22 for both sides. How many ya got, cause Carl and Grant are probably going to need some too.

If you don't have that many any number will be a help.

Thanks for the offer!

I corrected the part number in my upper post. It should read 4403445, not 4403345.

I searched GM dealers and it comes up dead, so aftermarket is our hope.

I'm telling you, I'm ready to get through this health nightmare!

There's hope though, I felt better today than I have in the last 21 days.

And yeah, I AM slipping. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

And when you wrote the word slippin, it was supposed to have a ' after it, not a " ......... You're slippin' too....

Was at the shop today, the one's I have are oval etc but have no sealer on them, so personnaly i don't think I would put them on.

If it's any use to you or Carl, i have a pdf pictures of the moldings with the part #'s of all the clips and qty required for each mldg, comes from my old parts book, the newer version of the parts book did not list the part #'s only the group # (Carl you may have that allready) but if you want them send me a pm with your email address and i would be more than pleased to send it off to you.

I never counted Ken, but if you do happen to order, would you be willing to order an extra 50 for me?

I suspect Grant will want 50 as well...
