1940 Pontiac Coupe What was Original?

I am restoring a 1940 Canadian Pontiac coupe.  Unlike its cousin south of the 49th, the Canadian assembly plants put a lot of chevrolet parts in them.  I would like to correspond with someone who has restored a similar car who can offer help with telling me what should be right for my car.  A good example is the steering column and wheel.  My car definitely has a chev column in it. What this original or did someone swap it out?

Thanks for posting the pictures.  That is a nice looking car.  So now here are some of my questions:

Picture #1- Your steering wheel has all 3 spokes done in lucite (or whatever it is).  Is the wheel original? Mine has the lower spoke as a round rod, the other two spokes are lucite.  It looks like your horn button has the chevrolet logo on it.  Is that how the Canadian Pontiacs came out?  Your interior cloth looks very similar to the remnants in mine.  Were the sun visors upholstered?  Mine are nothing more than a heavy cardboard stapled to the rod.  Is the interior dome light controlled from a switch down along the lower left hand edge of the dash?

Picture #2- My trunk has the same wooden rack in it with the tire space below.  Do you have any idea what the original jack and tools look like?

Picture #3- Looks the same as mine...with the chev bumpers.

Picture #4- Same engine as mine...the 216 OHV.

Did you need to restore your runningboards? They are apparently steel, moulded inside rubber.  Any leads on a place to get repros?  I am having trouble finding the stainless trim that goes around these as well.

Do you have a radio?  If so do you have a picture of it?

Ashtrays...I notice you have no knobs.  Do you know of a good source of the ivory knobs?  Seems some guys have some but not all.

Good For now.

Thanks.

Grant
