1956 pontiac american vs canadian interchangable parts

i have a 1956 pontiac pather finder deluxe(canadain) and found some really nice bumpers but there off the american pontiac...i know alot of the parts look the same but wont fit as the american pontiac is built on the buick frame making it longer... are the bumpers the same?? also i'm looking for a good set of steel fenders to replace my fiberglass ones

hi . i have 3 55 pontiacs, 2 convertibles and a 2 door wagon.....
the canadian pontiacs used the 55 chevy frame,( a arms, rear axle ,6 cyl or 265 v8, brake master cyl.. etc ,
used same floorpan and firewall from seam down..
heater is under dash not on firewall.. ..
american and canadian bodys are the same ,
but the canadian front clip( fenders, inner fenders, hood, are about 8-12" shorter)..
.for pontiac parts i buy from california pontiac restoration or ames performance engineering,,or ebay....
dont know if they made canadian converts, but sure would be easier to restore mine using the chevy parts..hope this helps..don
