New member from Ontario

Hello everyone, I'm what you call a newbee. I have been a guest on and off for a number of years.I have always liked old Pontiacs in my avatar it's a picture of a picture of me and my little brother back in 1984. I was 16 with a 365 driver license, the Pontiacs behind me were given to me when I was 14. The grey one was my grandfathers that he got in new 65 and the blue one was my aunts that she got new in 69. They needed a lot of work when I got them. Frame work and body work on the grey one and a new motor and trans for the blue one. My dad and I were back yard mechanics and did all the work ourselves, other than the frame getting welded on the 65. The 307 engine in the beaumont was done it had 250+ miles on it so we replaced it with a 327 and a 2 sp.trans. We got them from a local auto wreckers for $300.00. Try to find that now. So anyway I hope I am not rambling on. I had my dad take the picture because I was happy for what we did together but I wasn't able to drive them by myself until next summer, because I didn't get my full license until November that year. So the next spring I drove the 65 one day and the 69 the next it was great the other kids didn't believed that I had two cars. Thanks for reading my little story. The main reason I became a new member is because I was very lucky to find two 1967 Pontiac Parisienne convertibles sitting in a garage for 20+ years side by side and one of them is a 2+2. I will post pictures of them plus the cowl tags in the other forum 65-70 full size to get more information on them from many experts on this web site. Thanks again.

Welcome Steve. I like hearing family stories like yours.

Cool to have 2 cars at that age! Do you know where your '65 & '69 are now?

We'd love to see pictures of your 2 new finds.

A hardy welcome aboard mate from Milton, Ontario. I do not have to tell you how much you are going to love this great site. You started off with two really sweet Pontiacs. Every young mans dream come true, times two. Good luck with any of your Pontiac endeavours. Cheers. George.
