Char is a french expression from East Canada that means Car. It's also used has a 4 letter letter word in Quebec: Mange un char = Eat sh@t. In France the only say CHAR to refer to a Tank here (Quebec) we say Char d'assault.

I wish they'd do it in both languages instead of just french!!! How many sales do they lose over this?? I remember Ol Pierre T going to France & President De Gaul couldn't understand a word Pierre said & asked 'what the "F" language he was speaking"!!!! I tried high school french yrs ago when in Que. & it was a lost cause, being "proper French" can hardly remember any of it now!!! I avoid going to Que. now at all costs!!!
