Cool, i did not know you had a 65 beaumont Kevin, let alone an evening orchid one! that is a fairly rare color for sure.
Didnt you have a 64 SD that you parted about 10 years ago? i seem to remember, Did you end up with that fairly original 1964 chevelle 4dr? i think it was maroon. Nice driver condition, and i think it was a factory 283.
I remember back in 1995 when i worked at Canadian tire on pembina, i guy use to come in often, he had a project 1965 chevelle HT that was evening orchid, i never saw the car, and have never heard of it again, he lived in Fort Gary area, anyone heard of it?

Yes. I bought it a number of years ago when the previous owner was relocating to AB. He was discouraged after the grill, fender emblems and side trim was stolen from his yard and opted not to continue. I have since purchased many pieces for it (with lots of help from one member here a number of years ago) but still no side trim, SD frt fender emblems and a couple of correct hubcaps. I have the interior emblems, trunk emblem, side louvers and other pieces but the side trim will be tough. I haven't uploaded any pictures as it's just a pile of pieces inside my storage building since buying it. I try and add to the pile with quality items for the resto when I find stuff. The red doors in the foreground are a pair of rust free items picked up last summer.
I haven't seen the link above. That's quite the car!
Flat screeen is in the house. Older TV moved to the basement otherwise known as the old TV/computer graveyard. Resisting TV in shop but with hockey back man it's tempting.

5 days to go $127.50 RESERVE NOT MET. Wincy's giving us her best poker face, not sure what she thinks. It's pretty cool and I'm sure it took some time to build.
I'D have to say the panel and grill are made from scratch.. OR.. used a pontiac model (goat probably) and modified it. all in all its pretty good. The GTO interior doesnt suit me.. but again.. it's pretty cool. I bought a kit years ago (I'll try to find it) that was just the body and then I had to buy a 65 elcamino kit to get the chassis etc..

Hi Dave, I did part out a very rusted blue 64 SD 6 cyl. car. You remember the car? I didn't end up with that maroon 64 but did end up with a green 64 Beaumont sedan. Story for another thread. Fort Garry orchid Chevelle. Maybe a tall thin guy, glasses with the name John? Finished with a hot big block?
Super Chevy featured 2 different Beaumont Sport Deluxes in an old issue, 1990 perhaps? On the cover was a red 1967 Sport Deluxe with a black vinyl roof. The other Beaumont featured was an Evening Orchid 65 SD with a wood wheel, wire wheel covers, L74 4-speed. It may have been the same car in the 2009 thread that was linked to earlier in this thread. As I recall in the Super Chevy article, the owner decided to start buying up all NOS chrome trim back around 1975 when it was still available. That was a wise move!
