I have owned one of these since new.

Spent a lot of money and time fixing her up at 300,000 kms.

Nov1112 001.jpgNov1112 018.jpg

Drove it all last summer.

First time since 1999.

I know these cars from the ground up.

That is the factory pin stripe on the one for sale !

These were cruizers, 165hp/220 lbs, tourque

Most guys swap out the motor with 5.0/HO but I kept my original.

I think this would be a great future classic or a car for your sons.

88 needs Etesting.

My brother was hot on it but the wife wants a Harley wink

I would grab it but there is a 69 Poncho in the way juggle.gif

I like my Poncho date.gif

Randy

PS if you call and they say that they are waiting on two guys, tell him not to wait on Randy's Brother wink.gif

Randy

Did you actually call about this car? I did a reverse lookup on the tel # and it says the number is available...

I've seen a couple cars on the advertiser that had out-of-service numbers. Must be some kind of scam but I can't figure out how it works.

I think this one is real.

He gave me his address with his new and old 911 number and sure enough it checks out on google.

I do understand your concern though, All the "for sale" sites are full of scamers.

If anyone was serious about the car, it's $25 bucks to run that plate at Service Ontario.

I think it's just the case of what everyone is suffering,

A very weak market for old cars

When I sell online I only give my cell number.
If you look up "reverse number" using your cell number it will come up as "No listing found" as well.
At least mine does.

Thanks Muttwood

In the past week I've seen 3 adverts (two on Kijiji and one on the AutoTrader) where I got a "This number is not in service", or "This number is not assigned" recording when I dialed. I still can't figure out why anyone would set up a dummy ad like that - unless maybe, someone has done it solely to bombard someone else's cellphone account with calls and messages? If it was a pay as you go account, it may end up out of service due to no funds. Other than that I just can't understand the rationale.

I'd definitely be calling about this one if I was closer. Looks like a great car for my mother or daughter - they're both looking for some cheap (relatively) but reliable transportation. Unfortunately, they're both in BC.
