I have replaced the window motors in my 2+2 convertible and noticed the glass was really scratched up. I checked with Tin Man with no luck. :( Anybody have a really nice set with factory tint? (the quarter glass is specific to convertibles only). I know they make reproduction for the door glass but have not seen it for the quarter windows.
I don't have the name of the place but there is a place in Minnesota that does glass for just about all the GM 60's cars. Did you see the place I mean?
I would think they would have it.

Are you referring to Auto City Classic Glass? I tried them. Glass is being made up to '68 it's when you get to '69 for the big cars that you have a problem. Mark, PM sent.
Soft-Ray is American made and Shade-Lite is Canadian made (on Canadian cars), right?

My Canadian 62 Parisienne and 66 Bel Air 2 door post cars both had Shadelite glass, but as far as I know the Canadian cars used Soft Ray after 66 or 67. It was a different color greem than some of the US glass. Perhaps someone else can verify when the use of Shadelite glass ended.
My glass is original and it is Soft Ray. It seems that '67 was ayear when they typically made some changes from previous years. The tint appears to be the same as my American B-bodied cars had.
Here is how to read the date codes on the glass codes and locations. The following is the decoding for LOF (Libby) Owens Ford) glass from 1963 thru 1972. The location ofthe codes vary with each piece, just look for the LOF symbol. Generally all of the side glass had the same date, about 60 days before build, and the windshield was 30 days or less from build.
L-O-F:Libby Owens Ford Manufacturer
AS: American Standards Association of Classification
AS1:Windshield Glass
AS2: Body Glass

Mark has a pair of quarter windows, however, I would like to find a date coded match. After getting the picture of the stamp on mine, there is a definite difference with mine having a DCL marking. I have found this to stand for Duplate Canada Ltd. As it stands, I guess I am going to need Canadian glass to get a match for the codes I have. Any help on this one?
