I know, I know, I know that it is a shot in the dark but I firmly believe there is an original set of 67 SD tail panel trim out there somewhere. Please, if you know of anyone that has a set that they would part with, I would be forever grateful. I also know there is a guy that has remade a few sets, but I'm holding out for an original set. Thanks
I can't find the guy's name that had a run of rear chrome made for the 1967 Beaumont Sport Deluxe. That must be the same guy alluded to by chevy4ever. As I recall the trim was $1200 per set.
This is the dilemma, how many sets to produce. The costs are high but go down with large-scale production. How many sets could be realistically sold? It depends on price, but committed orders need to be made and paid for, and yet then the production may be a long way off until there is enough to run a batch. People get cold feet or won't pony up, so the run never happens.
If GM insists on licensing them, the costs go up a lot more. GM and others went after the repro industry in the late 80s / early 90s, mainly because phony offshore parts were being sold as OEM. There were large fines after the law came down hard on the knock-offs. The upside is that licensed reproductions at least are deemed to be on par with the originals (supposedly).

Steve Roth is the guy I bought the trim from. His new rear trim is $1200 unpolished ,$1400 polished. I paid $700 for his used set. Pricey but do the math, only 451 made, only on 67 year cars and how many are still around now.
ANyone know if Steve makes 66 SD trim, I need the lower rear quarter pieces, aluminum=corrosion.
I don't think so. He has or had a 67 so was focused on them. Can't remember the place out east who can make them. Something like DST stainless. Someone will know on here.

Hey guys. I have been looking for a 67 SD tail piece trim for quite a long time. Just happened upon this thread from quite a number of years ago and was wondering whether anyone here knows Steve Roth, if he's still building trim and if you could give me his contact info. Much appreciated!
