i have a hard time deciding when patina crosses over into its time to redue the car, i get keeping something original but i guess when the line gets crossed
...and "patina" is no longer "patina" anymore ... sorry, it is called "damage & rot".

It stops being patina when you have to rebuild/repair and repaint a part of the body. As in when the driver'sxrear quarter gets that big dent repaired. Pretty tough to match patina with new paint. Maybe with a vinyl skin...
It is a cool car, & you can't buy much car for 5 grand now days!! So I'm caught between it "needs" too much for the cost of car & would likely end up with more "IN IT" than it's worth & who cares how much you got in it "IT"S DIFFERENT!!!!

I'm amazed at the amount of rust on a car that came out of California when it was only 20 years old. Most of them don't look like that if they spent 20 years there and the rest of the time in storage.
