Newbie from Komoka (London, On)

Hello all, been a member since summer 2012 but never had the time to do the official "Hello". So... Hello!!!!! Can't believe the information on this site, its amazing to see how much interest there is in old pontiacs. Thank god there is some sort of resource out there for us folk that now squat about cars. Here's a little bio on the Car. 1969 Pontiac 2+2 Convertible, 350 V8, built in Oshawa on Feb 14, 1969. Originally bought from Lloyd Hall Motors in Ingersoll. My father bought it as a demo from Lloyd Hall in 1970. Been in the family ever since. Original Colour (been painted) original top/original interior/motor/trans. I think there were only 632 of this model built (correct me if i'm wrong). It landed in my driveway in May 2012 after being stored for about 20 years. I don't think the neighbours we too happy with me, it was looking pretty tough sitting in the driveway!!! After a few months and a few $$$$ its back on the road. I've included some before and after photos. Car still needs some work (ie a roof) but its driveable, fun to drive (man its huge) and the kids like it. Are there any '69 2+2 Convertible experts out there, i might need some help WRT replacing the roof and header bow

Welcome Steve! Nice to have a car like yours that's been with the family since new. I pass by Komoka a lot as my in-laws live in Mt. Brydges. I'll keep my eye out for you cruising around with the top down!

Welcome from Regina, SK. The 69 looks pretty fine with the Cragar SS wheels.

Welcome !

My 69 Rag was an one family car until October of last year.

It was a Lions Club lottery car won with a 50 cent ticket.

There is not one option on this car other than the rag.

I think PS & PB came standard on the Parisienne that year.

This was their cottage car and lived there mostly until the cottage was sold.

Maybe well meet up at the cruize nights at the Canadian Tire on Dundas in London on Sundays

Or maybe Canadian Poncho could storm the Plunket Estate this June biggrin

Maybe a booth Todd whisper.gif

Yes, way to close!

Tell Kris those window felts worked well, slight, very slight, modications to the 1/4 window felts and the door felts fit perfectly.

thanks

Welcome, nice car! Used to drive a 69 in the 80s, great car! Would have been better had it been a convert.

Hey Steve, I decided to put mine on the road for the summer. At $30 a month for insurance, why not.

No fun just looking at it !

I would love to pop over sometime and compare notes.
(Looking for places to go biggrin)

Send me a PM if you are interested.

Think I will pop into a Chrysler dealer Friday, Before the boss escapes to an island.  sprint.gif
