This is a 1963 Chevy II Station Wagon that I bought last year in North Carolina.  The lady I bought it from was selling for her father who she said owned a restoration business.  The story was he had accumulated a number of cars over the years and now she was selling them over a period of time as he prepared to retire.

I believe this car was a Nova 400 when new but I'm unable to prove that.  Some of the original trim was left off  prior to painting.  The body appears to be in excellent shape with no signs of rust or rust repair.  All the frame rails are solid and the floor pans are intact.  The spare tire well is in good condition.  The car was treated to a custom interior with a set of bucket power seats that look like a bench.  They function in all directions with the controls on the side and include lumbar support.

The interior of the car was painted along with the exterior and the shine, fit and finish is very nice.  The only other power options are the brakes which are disc on the front and drum in the rear.  The wheels are 5 lug all the way around and the differential is not the original but definitely a 64-67 Chevy II open with a hghway gear.  The engine is a 350 V-8 with an edelbrock performer intake and new Holley carb.

The transmission has been changed to a 350 turbo with a firm shift at WOT.  One thing I really like about this car is the glass from front to back is new with a slight smoke tint.  The car shows very well and looks very good with a set of original ralley wheels, 14x7 used on disc brake cars.  The center caps are the disc brake centers with correct trim rings in excellent shape.  I did not check the wheel code but these look to be the fairly rare ralley wheels that I'm famililar with being used on 69 Nova and Camaro ( SS only ) cars.  If so, the last set I had were sold about 25 years ago for over $300.  

The car does have some play in the steerig box and if I still have it when I return home to Michigan, I will replace the box and install an ididit tilt column.  I will sell the car with the N.C. title for $12,500 and I will assist with shipping.  I'm unable to transport the car myself as I did not bring my truck or trailer down here.

I drive this wagon almost everyday for errands, coffee, cruises and shows.  It is very popular everywhere I go but the longer I drive it, the more I think about spending money to change it up in some way.  I have discussed several options, with the painter at C.A.R.S., for two or even three toning the paint to perk it up a little.  Of course the problem with that is if I spend money on the car, any attempt to sell it will need to reflect the additinal money spent.

I will lower the price to $11,500 for CP member prior to putting the car on ebay tomorrow.  I'm selling this car in order to buy another but if that doesn't happen, I have commissioned an artist to do a couple renderings of idea's I have for an upgrade to the car.  There also is a new 2013 Hot Wheels addition of this car that offers a little different concept.  I do not have cell service to Canada, so please pm or email for info or pics.

Leave it as is paint-wise (lowering it is okay) ... save your time & money.

IMHO, spending money on these upgrades will actually lower the value of the car.  I'd leave it as-is.
