In a separate thread I posted documents for a 68 Parisienne 427 4 door. One thing I never mentioned there is a learned something new when I had this car documented.
This car has long been crushed, likely 25 years ago. However, because it's a 68 the engine has the last part of the vehicle VIN stamped on the front of the block. I contacted George and GM Vintage asking if he is able to do documents using that partial VIN, and he confirmed that he can. Very cool that not only are we able to get GM documents for our old vehicles but we don't even need the entire VIN got get it done, just the partial one off the engine. I believe this only applies to 68 and up though. It seems to me 67 and older don't have partial VIN's stamped on engines.
Just another area where we are much more fortunate than our US car nuts.
