A "priceless" Beaumont.  Looks really nice but I sure wish they would advertise the price.

Most appraisals aren't worth the paper they are written on.Appraisals only apply to rare or desireable cars, with that being said, there are cars that are appraised at 40k,but sell for 20k or 25k,so what would this car really be worth? 7K?. to someone who really loves a 4 dr Beaumont.Beautiful car no doubt,10K not so sure about that......accually,no waydisbeliefIf I was going to spend 10k on this car,I'd go 2k more and buy the Nova wagon,so brainerconfuse

 Trucker,

I'm not sure I agree with what you've said above.  My 67 Parisienne 2+2 Convertible appraised last year at $20K.  Do I think I could get that for it on the open market?  No, however it gives my insurance company a figure to go on should the car ever be written off.  I do believe the car could fetch somewhere in the vicinity of $15k should I try to sell it.  Would I ever?  Well..maybe if I was going to turn around and buy Carl's Acadian!  I think the seller here is stating what the car appraised at to give possible buyers an idea of what to base their offers on..I suspect because it is a more door, most offers he would get would be lowballers..even though the car is in really nice shape...

Well, everyone has an opinion,an appraisal would just support a value, but it doesn't give any base for a market to sell. It's worth what someone will give you for it,pay someone to steal it for parts, then get you're value from you're appraisal.......he'd be further ahead!I agree for insurance part, but not for a sellers part.Whether it be an insurance company or an investment company, they don't make money from giving you what you want, all they want to give you is elk sauasage, and as much as you can take.Tell me I wrong!

He doesn't indicate whether he thinks the appraisal value is a fair selling price, so the actual price is a mystery unless you call him.

That said, it was for sale last year, so I would expect his price is too high based on that information.

194 is the correct base engine for chevells and beaumonts from 1964-1966.  1967 the 194 was dropped and replaced with teh 230 as the base engine.
