dang i'm a newbie again. lol

name is rick and i live north of belleville, ont.. i am semi-retired business owner flashed back to my old play with car days. i have several old cars and one of them being a 40 pontiac coupe. i picked this up about 4-5 years ago and its been in storage since. its all original and it runs and drives. its turn in the shop will be this winters project. i am planning to make it into a retro-rod coupe. i have scrounged up most of the parts required i think. 327ci, 2X4 intake, straight axel and hard ware, 9" rear and still undecided on the tranny. 4spd or auto o/d, we will see. also have a set of fender exit pipes but still undecided on that also.

thanks for having me and as i get closer to getting it done i am sure i will be looking for some parts and advise.

thanks for the welcome guys. its been a bit but its the time of year. the more i get done now the more time i will have to relax and enjoy. yea like thats going to happen. lol
i have had a couple of pontiacs in my time but mostly the other GM moniker. probably the one i remember the most was this one, LOLGloria Rick and June 30 1972.jpg

 

 

it was a clear sunny day in june, 30th 1972.  the age of the car on that day was more than the marriage lasted. the positive up side though was 2 really great kids. grampa now.

 this old car thing can become an addiction, in case you don't know. i am in re-hab now with 3 up for sale. i have made my decision of what i am keeping after learning you can't keep them all. here is what i am keeping,

 70 chevelle; 572ci, 4 spd auto o/d, moser 9" 3:91 rear, 823hp-737tq runs on pump gas.

thanks for the thumbs up.. the 36 is real solid,, most likely parked in the 50's in dry storage..never seen salt !  I have it stashed away for now....

old dry cars in the praries...   I hear you .. going to deal on a 31 Model A coupe next weekend , ,mild chop everything else traditional other than the SBC mock up....
