I'm kinda suprise ... normaly I have to go to the States to find nice cheap old cars .. Guess it's a good year to be buying in Quebec ! (for once!! ) Normaly poeple here are COMPLETELY delusional on the price ! They are not even shy to ask 6000$ for a rust bucket!!
''''Nice old car All the good ones are in Quebec? any trouble importing them into Canada? ''''
nop ... It's harder to bring a ontario / BC / Manitoba (etcetc) car into quebec than the other way around . We almost all have the same regulation across Canada ... Exept our provincial goverment don't trust yours ... so we need a ****load of things to import a car from another province ! Including a full inspection to be able to get registration
It's almost simpler and cheaper for me to buy a car in Vermont than one in BC !! Hard to believe !
Carl, your BAD!!!! But I don't think theres any 72 hr. delay importing one from Que. into Canada & you can "run' the border cause they don't have GUNS!!! Car may have a culture shock hearing people speak ENGLISH & seeing road signs in "BOTH" languages & no language Police enforcing "FRENCH ONLY"!! You can say & write "PASTA" here without fear of going to jail!!!!!

Ya, but they have great fireworks!
I'd load it up with fireworks at the border when you make that "run", and hope that the car doesn't have any electrical or fuel "problems".

Actually when I was in Quebec a few weeks back I was impressed with Route 30- the toll highway that takes you around Montreal. Best $2.65 I ever spent!
