Timing & fuel pump

I'm helping a friend with his 1952 Pontiac Fleetleader Deluxe (6 cyl). He had to replace the oil pump & we need to setup timing again. What position does the oil pump need be in at TDC in order to drop the distributor in correctly? Also does anyone know where to find a fuel pump for this as well? The one on it is leaking gas out one of the breather holes in where the diaphram is.

on the 50' engine the little split plates in the end of the oil pump have to be HORIZONTAL prior to inserting the distributer,
if yours is a flathead 239 then it should be the same, I will have to find my maintenance manual to double check
